When microbial such as bacteria and viruses, including coronaviruses, travel through this densely constructed silver jungle, they will be exposed to large amounts of silver ions and they will be halted immediately. This is to give maximum protection to the wearer.
Silverguard® is probably the only antiviral silver fabric available in the world that so effectively and rapidly destroys coronaviruses. It is tested by the Italian Health Authority (IZSVe), and fully certified according to ISO 18184:2019. Viral destruction was recorded almost instantly and full destruction occurs in only minutes. The report shows that viral replication has significantly reduced almost instantly and full viral destruction occurred after only few minutes. The fabric was also tested and certified to meet the stringent ecological requirements of the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, presently established in Annex 4 for baby articles, meaning suitable for prolonged contact on baby skin.
Silverguard® has a silver content which is over 20 times larger than many silver finishing in other ordinary fabrics. It is extremely soft and certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX ® class 1, which is suitable for baby skin. It is free of Nano-silver, silver chlorides and other potentially harmful substances. The effect of silver ions has been widely used against bacteria and various viruses since 600 BC to nowadays. Silver ions decimates many viruses simply by close contact. Silver ions Ag+ will perform their deadly work by binding the bacteria/viruses membranes and attacking the DNA to inhibit replication. Finally the membrane is ruptured and the bacteria or virus is fully destroyed.
